The Corona and Premio are creations of the Japanese automotive manufacturer, Toyota.  Both vehicles are considered luxury sedans with the Premio being slightly more high-end than that of the Toyota Corona.  The Corona boasts a more modest luxury imaging while still maintaining its high standards.   Both vehicles are extremely affordable, dependable and durable within their unique offerings and options as opposed to other automotive manufactures providing vehicles in the same class. Toyota has an excellent reputation for manufacturing vehicles that are safe, dependable and affordable, which is shown to exist in both the Premio and Corona.  Toyotas competitors are hard pressed to match the quality that Toyota delivers through all of its vehicles. They continue to hold the largest market share for this class of automobile.

For over five decades Toyota manufactured the well known Toyota Corona.  The Nissan Bluebird was the Coronas closest competitor during the same span of time.  Even though the Bluebird tried to compete with the Corona, the Corona maintained its popularity and retained its standing as having the largest market share in its class.  When the Premio was added to Toyotas line up, it brought a high-end luxury version to the existing compact models of the Corona and Corolla.  Later Toyota introduced the Camry which was a superior luxury sedan which overshadowed the Premio, Corona or Corolla.  To fulfill its lineup with a sportier vehicle, Toyota introduced the Allion.  The Allion appealed to a younger generation, and those desiring to feel younger, with its sporty sleek lines and turbocharged engine.   The Allion and Premio were introduced during the same time frame but where marketed toward completely different consumers.

During the time the Toyota Corona was manufactured, the Japanese automotive manufacturer provided its offering to a global market.  With the Corona becoming a popular in the United States, it quickly acquired a reputation of being dependable and of high quality while maintain its affordability.  The Corona gained consumer confidence and quickly became a much sought after vehicle for families, individuals and businesses.  It became well known not only for its reliability but for its environmental friendly and fuel efficient capabilities.  Corona continues to be a high selling sought after used and pre-owned vehicle in various markets across the world.

The Toyota Corona offerings expanded through various versions of hatchbacks, coupes, station wagons, sedans and lift backs.  These models culminated in variations of two, three and four-door models.  Most had optional front and rear wheel drive capabilities.  As eleven generations of the Corona was delivered to countries around the world, each generation added to the innovative offerings and added improvements being applied to each vehicle and each generation.  Other automotive manufacturers worked to equal or exceed the value, quality and craftsmanship of the r Corona but few competitors could succeed in their ventures.  The Premio boast the same standards and high quality value as that of the Corona, but of course never equaled the popularity or market share of the Corona.

The engines of the Toyota Corona included 1.5-liter to 2.0-liter fueled by gasoline with transmissions ranging from automatic to five speed manual stick shifts.  The colors of the exterior were well coordinated with the interior fabrics, carpets and trims.  These brilliant color offerings appealed to a large number of consumers and provide to be popular combinations. The Corona and Premio boasted fabrics and leathers that were unchallenged by their competitors.  Standard options included automatic locking windows and doors, electric mirrors and windows, air conditioning, adjustable seating and extensive stereo systems.

History of Subaru and Starlet

Posted October 19th, 2009 by admin

Manufactured from 1973 to 1999 the Toyota Starlet was an extremely popular sub compact vehicle. They had a reputation for being affordable, dependable and fuel efficient which made them extremely attractive to families and individuals alike.  In Japan the Starlet was first introduced as the Sera.  The Sear however included butterfly doors, turbocharged engine and a sportier body making them a fun and popular car to own in Japan as well as in New Zealand, Ireland, the UK and Australia.  The Toyota Starlet came to North American in 1981 and continued through 1984.  However the Toyota Corolla replaced the Starlet beginning in 1984. The Starlet had a variety of models including a three or five door hatchback or sedan with all wheel drive, making this a good alternative for driving in any type of weather.  It was a fierce competitor of the all wheel drive Subaru Outback, Legacy and Forester, but was much more affordable than the Subaru models.

Subaru, like Toyota is a Japanese automotive manufacture but a division of Fuji Heavy Industries Group.  All of Subaru vehicles offerings are uniquely designed to be all wheel drive vehicles, competing for market space with Nissan, Toyota, Honda and other Japanese automotive manufacturers.  The Toyota Starlet was designed to compete with Subaru vehicles with its all wheel drive, body style and five-door hatchback and wagon offerings.  However, Subaru provides a variety of multiple body styles and engine configuration to expound their all wheel terrain vehicles.  They also offer a turbocharged motorsport vehicle model to appeal to a younger consumer.  The vast array of appealing color choices are designed to meet a wide range of consumer desires.

Most recently Subaru and Toyota agreed to jointly develop a vehicle which would incorporate the best of both companys currently designed all wheel all terrain vehicles. The parent company of Subaru, Fuji Heavy Industries entered into a partnership agreement with Toyota Motor Corporation to pursue this manufacturing and development endeavor.   Toyota Motor Corporation owns 16.5% of Fuji Heavy Industries through this arrangement.

This partnership has developed out of a need to create environmentally friendly, fuel efficient vehicles for a global market.  Of course there are other reasons for the partnership but this is one that is on the forefront due to the current economic and environmental issues currently plaguing the world today.
Subaru has developed vehicles with reduced emissions, and started engaging in programs around recycling, environmental education for customers and employees as well as advancing toward innovations for manufacturing and producing vehicles using alternative energy sources.  In partnership with Toyota they are creating energy efficient hybrid vehicles that include recycling alternatives for vehicles at the end of their life.  Both companies have begun using recycled aluminum products for the production of their vehicles.  These innovations and efficiencies can and will be extended to all their various vehicle models.

Other innovations have emerged from their partnership which has enhanced their existing offerings of the Toyota Starlet and Subaru vehicles.  These include partial zero emissions vehicles certification on the latest Legacy, Outback and Forester models as well as the Stella by Subaru.  The Stella is an electric vehicle with a lithium-ion battery pack that touts easy plug-in and longer running capacities.  Toyota is in the midst of research and testing of their electric vehicles to accompany their current hybrid models.

With Toyota and Subaru merging efforts they are jointly designing a new vehicle, the Impreza coupe.  It is planned to be a rear wheel drive vehicle powered by a 2.0-liter engine with an optional 2.5-liter turbo engine model.  The Impreza will be released to the Japanese market to determine the success factors before expanding it to a global market.  The Impreza will be very similar to the Legacy but with a heavier shorter frame.  The engine combines Subarus boxer engine with Toyotas direct injection technology for increased performance, environmental friendliness and fuel economy with a release as early as 2012.

Finding the Perfect Family Car

Posted October 7th, 2009 by admin

You can find several Japanese used car exporters by searching on the internet.  These companies provide services to help you locate a family car that can be imported from Japan. Whether you are looking for a new or used vehicle these companies help you find the car of our choice no matter where it is located.

Some of the Japanese used car exporters locate vehicles which have been seized by the government for one reason or another and are available for purchase and resell to individuals.  These vehicles can include everything from a family car to a truck or sports car.  Some of these types of vehicles are a few months old while others can be several years old.   Depending on the type of vehicle you are looking for you could get an amazingly affordable price on an almost brand new family car, luxury car, truck, sport car or sport utility vehicle.

Japanese used car exporters specialize in locating vehicles for potential buyers from a variety of places.  Not only do they negotiate purchases from government on their seized vehicles but they also frequent automotive auctions where dealers bid on available vehicles from other automotive dealers and individuals.  Other avenues for obtaining vehicles for exporting come from dealerships around the world that have a surplus of new and used model cars that are not currently moving on their lots.  These types of vehicles are excess inventory in which many dealerships need to move or sell in order to maintain a strong cash flow, and have room on their lots to bring in the latest and newer models available from automotive manufacturers.  Japanese exporters use this to their advantage when trying to find additional vehicles to obtain for their clients requests.

You can find a used family car from one of these Japanese used car exporters that could be extremely affordable.  If you are in the market for a luxury car, sports car, sports utility vehicle or other high-end type of vehicle, then going through an exporter can make an otherwise unaffordable vehicle now surprisingly cost effective and extremely attractive. Many times the exporters can purchase a high-end luxury or sports vehicle at amazingly low prices through the various auctions.  They can then extend that savings to their customers and provide them with amazing vehicles for a fraction of their original cost or even current market value.

Purchasing a family car through a Japanese used car exporter can be an affordable experience and one that most people will share with their family and friends.  This type of exposure allows the Japanese exporters to offer even lower prices on their vehicles because they are selling cars faster requiring less over head in their inventory.  These are the types of benefits that can be offered from these Japanese exporters and a way to keep the prices low for their customers.

The most important item to consider when purchasing a family car or luxury vehicle from a Japanese used car exporter is to ensure the exporter takes a precautionary step in verifying and validating the registration papers and condition of the vehicle before it is resold to their clients.  To do this investigate the Japanese exporter to make sure they are a reputable company and have certified mechanics who review the condition of the vehicle before they are resold to customers.  This is important to check prior taking delivery of your new vehicle not only for your safety and the reliability of the vehicle but for legal aspects of owning the vehicle in order to properly register and insure your new car, truck or sport utility vehicle.
